MACK POGUE, CHAIRMAN
Mack Pogue, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln Property Company, formed the company in 1965 to develop, own and manage top caliber real estate properties. Since that time, Mr. Pogue has developed more than $16 billion in residential, commercial, and retail properties throughout the United States and Europe. Mr. Pogue remains an active and integral part of the decision making process for each development and personally reviews projects through each major phase of planning, financing, design and construction.
TIM BYRNE, PRESIDENT
Tim Byrne is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Lincoln Property Company’s Residential Division. He is actively involved in the decision-making, development and review of all projects, from early planning stages through financing, design, construction and lease-up. Since joining Lincoln as President in 1984, Mr. Byrne has been responsible for the development and planning of over 45,000 units and oversees the management of the Lincoln portfolio throughout the country.
Mr. Byrne joined Lincoln Property Company from the Dallas-based Byrne Company, a residential and commercial development company he founded in 1976. A native of Dallas, Mr. Byrne received a degree in business administration from the University of Texas. Mr. Byrne sits on various community boards and is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Multi Housing Council, the Real Estate Council, and Urban Land Institute.
BRIAN BYRNE, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT - MIDWEST
Brian Byrne is Executive Vice President for Lincoln Property Company – Midwest. His responsibilities include development, acquisition and management oversight of Lincoln’s operations in the Midwest. He is also responsible for tracking market conditions, which affect properties under Lincoln’s management.
Mr. Byrne joined Lincoln in 1985 as Development Manager where he worked with the Vice Presidents to oversee the development process for all new projects.
He became Executive Vice President in 1991. Prior to his association with Lincoln Property Company, Mr. Byrne was the Vice President of Development at Byrne Development Company from 1981 to 1985. His responsibilities included overseeing all planning, development, design and construction processes. Mr. Byrne graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree. He is a registered architect and holds a National Council of Architectural Registration Board Certification. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute and the American Institute of Architects.
KEVIN KEANE, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – MIDWEST, EAST
Mr. Keane joined Lincoln property Company in 1987 responsible for development, construction, financing, property management, and acquisitions of market rate apartment properties, and military family housing privatization activities for the US Army. With offices in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Cincinnati and Seattle, he has been involved in the development and construction of $500 million of new apartment communities and oversees a property management portfolio of $400million of market rate apartment assets. Army privatization includes the financing, development, construction, renovation and on-going operations of 4,000 military family homes in Seattle WA., and 1,000 military family homes in San Antonio, TX.
Prior to joining Lincoln Property Company, Mr. Keane was a vice president for a mortgage banking company where he was responsible for the placement of $300 million in debt and equity financing of commercial, retail and residential investment properties throughout the Midwest.
Mr. Keane graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Business Administration, Real Estate and Finance. He is a member of The Urban Land Institute, and holds real estate brokers licenses in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
CHARLES O. SHALLAT, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT - SOUTHEAST
Mr. Shallat is Executive Vice President for Lincoln Property Company – Southeast. Mr. Shallat is responsible for overseeing development, financing and monitoring on-going property management activities in the Southeast. Since joining Lincoln in 1996, the Southeast region has closed over $300 million in transactions, encompassing both new development and acquisition/rehabilitations. Mr. Shallat’s region also manages apartment units for its own account as well as for third parties.
Mr. Shallat joined Lincoln from JPI Development Partners, Inc., where he was the Regional Acquisition Director. He was responsible for the acquisitions of multifamily properties in the Southeast. Prior to JPI, Mr. Shallat was Senior Acquisitions Associate at Metric Realty, an institutional pension fund advisor. Mr. Shallat holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Marketing/Management from the University of Illinois, Champaign/Urbana. Mr. Shallat is currently a member of the National Multi-housing Counsel and a Board Member of the East Coast REIAC Chapter.
JEFF B. FRANZEN, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT- MID ATLANTIC
For over twenty years, Mr. Jeff Franzen has been responsible for development, construction, and management operations for Lincoln Property Company in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, extending from North Carolina to Massachusetts. Mr. Franzen joined Lincoln in 1985 to open the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office and subsequent satellite offices in New York and Boston. Since inception, the Mid-Atlantic Region has accounted for $3 billion in new development and renovation while successfully managing assets for some of the nations largest pension funds such as TIAA, Invesco, and UBS.
Mr. Franzen also oversees all phases of Lincoln's military operations in the Mid Atlantic region, including Navy and Marine family housing in the Quantico, Norfolk, Annapolis and Virginia Beach areas. Mr. Franzen's role includes the supervision of property management, planning, development, and neighborhood revitalization for over 150 privatized military neighborhoods with approximately 7,000 homes.
Prior to joining Lincoln, Mr. Franzen worked for the Vantage Companies, a national real estate developer and the Byrne Company, a real estate investment firm. Mr. Franzen received a BBA from Southern Methodist University, an MBA from the University of Dallas, and is a licensed broker in thirteen states.
JEFFRY T. COURTWRIGHT, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT - SOUTHWEST
Mr. Courtwright is Executive Vice President for Lincoln Property Company. His responsibilities include development, acquisition and management oversight of LPC residential operations in the Southwest region. Joining Lincoln Property Company in 1987, he was promoted to Vice President of Office Development in 1991 for office projects in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. In 1993, Jeff was named as Executive Vice President and expanded his responsibilities to include acquisition of regional management companies and national facilities management contracts. In 1995, Jeff moved to Prentiss Properties as Managing Director for the entire Southwest U.S. commercial operations, returning to Lincoln as the Southwest Sr. Vice President for the multifamily division in October 1996. He has developed 3,000 units at a value of $300,000,000 over the last eight years, and acquired and rehabilitated 4,000 units worth $180 million dollars in acquisition and oversees the operations in Texas, Arizona and Colorado.
Mr. Courtwright is a licensed real estate broker in Texas and a graduate of Southern Methodist University. He is a former member of the Central Dallas Association's Executive Committee, the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks, and is currently a council member of the Urban Land Institute, a board member of the Greater Dallas Chamber, the North Texas Business Council for the Arts, as well as the SMU Athletic Forum Board of Directors.
REGGIE D. DELPONTE, EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – WEST
Reg DelPonte is Executive Vice President – West for Lincoln Property Company. Mr. DelPonte opened the Western Region office in 1998. His responsibilities include all residential development in California as well as acquisition of existing properties or portfolios. Mr. DelPonte is involved in design, finance, construction, and property management decisions. Since opening the Western Region office, Mr. DelPonte has built over 3,500 units and has acquired an interest in a PPV (Public Private Venture) with the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps on over 20,000 units that consist of about 5,000 new units and 15,000 renovated units, valued at over $3.2 billion.
Prior to joining Lincoln, Mr. DelPonte was President of Calco Investments and DelPonte Companies. He formed DelPonte Companies in 1983 to develop commercial and industrial real estate in Denver, Colorado. Mr. DelPonte began his real estate career as a broker for Grubb & Ellis in 1979 where he received numerous awards, including Overall Top Producer for two consecutive years. He is a native of Denver and a member of the Urban Land Institute.
JARL BLISS, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - LINCOLN MILITARY HOUSING
Since joining Lincoln Property Company in 1987, Jarl has been involved in many facets of Lincoln's business. Mr. Bliss has worked in a variety of positions for Lincoln in is twenty plus years - including development, construction, finance and now military housing. He has been personally involved in the development of over $3 billion of commercial real estate.
In his finance role, Mr. Bliss oversaw all interim and permanent financing for the Mid-Atlantic / Northeast region. During the course of Jarl's Lincoln career he has also had the responsibility of heading up Lincoln's property management operations for the East Coast (Boston to Miami). In this role he supervised a team that managed over 25,000 units for over 40 different institutional clients. Mr. Bliss then supervised all development activities for the Mid-Atlantic / Northeast region where his duties included all aspects of development supervision from land acquisition, design, construction.
Jarl now oversees the Lincoln Military Housing operations. LMH comprises almost 30,000 military homes in bases from coast-to-coast for the Army, Navy and the Marines.
Prior to joining Lincoln, Jarl was a senior auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co. specializing in Real Estate and Financial Services. Jarl is a graduate of James Madison University, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
FRED E. CHANEY, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT – LINCOLN MILITARY HOUSING
Mr. Chaney joined Lincoln Property Company in 1973 and is currently is responsible for overseeing the management of Lincoln's Military communities nationwide. Mr. Chaney’s career in the Real Estate industry began shortly after graduating from Eastern New Mexico University where he attained a BAA degree in Real Estate and Marketing. He has been awarded the designation of GRI (Graduate of Realtors Institute) after completing studies at the Texas Association of Realtors in Austin, Texas.
Mr. Chaney holds the prestigious Certified Property Manager (CPMâ) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, Chicago, Illinois. He is also a Realtorâ and a Texas Real Estate Broker.
SCOTT WILDER, CPM, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT – RESIDENTIAL MANAGEMENT
As Senior Vice President for Lincoln Property Company, Mr. Wilder directs the operations and growth of the residential management division nationwide. Scott has been with LPC for twenty-three years and has a wide range of experience, which includes the management of new construction, distressed assets and rehab properties.
Mr. Wilder graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree and holds the CPMâ designation through the Institute of Real Estate Management. He is a member of the Greater Dallas Board of Realtors, the Institute of Real Estate Management and serves as a delegate for TAA and NAA. He has recently been appointed to the Executive Committee for TAA, serving as Vice President at Large for 2007-2008. Scott also served as president of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas for 2004-2005.
DAN M. JACKS, SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT/GENERAL COUNSEL
Dan M. Jacks is Senior Vice President, General Counsel of Lincoln Property Company. Since 1980, Mr. Jacks has been the Vice President for administrative, accounting and legal affairs. Mr. Jacks joined Lincoln in 1972, and until 1979 served as the Regional Accountant for the Southwest Region where he had accounting responsibility for apartments, land, office buildings and shopping centers owned by more than 150 separate partnerships.
Mr. Jacks received a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from Baylor University in 1963 and a J.D. degree from the University of Texas Law School in 1966. Mr. Jacks is a Certified Public Accountant (Texas) and a member of the State Bar of Texas.
PRICE WAGNER, VICE PRESIDENT - INVESTMENTS
As a Vice President for Lincoln Property Company, Mr. Wagner is responsible for growing and expanding opportunities across Lincoln’s residential business, as well as source new business lines. From 2001-mid 2005, Mr. Wagner served as an Operating Partner for JPI Partners developing, acquiring, and disposing of over $100 million of multifamily apartments in the Western United States. From 1996-2001, Mr. Wagner worked as a Vice-President of Development with Lincoln Property Company’s Southwest Region.
Mr. Wagner received a B.S. in Economics from Texas A&M University, and a MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
DENNIS STREIT, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Dennis Streit joined Lincoln in January 1998 as its Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Lincoln, he spent 12 years with Ernst and Young, 10 years with another national multifamily development company and six years with a regional investment-banking firm. Mr. Streit is responsible for all financial, accounting, technology, and administrative aspects of the residential division of Lincoln Property Company.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Mr. Streit is also a Certified Public Accountant, a Charter member/Founder of Dallas REFEA (Real Estate Financial Executives Association) and a member of the Dallas Chapter of Financial Executives Institute. He is active in various civic organizations and sits on the Board of the Volunteer Center of North Texas.
BILLY J. GRANT, JR., SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT - CONSTRUCTION
As Senior Vice President for the Construction and Development, Mr. Grant is responsible for the development coordination and construction quality, methods, and administrative operations of each of the multi-family developments in the U.S. within the Byrne Region. On new developments, he coordinates the planning and design phases, budget projections and staffing operations with the partners. His primary duty is to make sure all of the development operations run smoothly, consistently, and produce a quality product for the marketplace.
Mr. Grant holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design and Architecture degree from Texas A&M University. He began his employment at Lincoln in 1984, with prior experience in other large development companies such as, Paragon Group, Inc. He is a member of the Home and Apartment Builders Association, Associated Builders and Contractors, Associated General Contractors, a former member of the Board of Directors, and Developers Council Chairman for the Associated Builders and Contractors and other trade associations.
BRIAN K. AUSTIN, VICE PRESIDENT - FINANCE & ANALYSIS
Since joining Lincoln in 1985, Brian Austin has performed and coordinated the analysis of successfully completed development projects with total costs in excess of 3.7 billion, and is responsible for the underwriting and analysis of more than $1.6 billion in multi-family acquisitions. In addition, Mr. Austin was involved in the underwriting and closing of more than $2.5 billion in private placement financing for military PPV family housing ventures, utilizing both fixed and synthetic-fixed rate financing strategies. Over the last several years, Mr. Austin has been responsible for and/or assisted in, closing construction and permanent loans in excess of $2.2 billion, including a $230 million facilities loan on the 7,000-unit Dallas-based Village community. Utilizing various formats, he has successfully completed implementation of interest rate hedging strategies for over $1.5 billion of variable rate property construction loans.
Mr. Austin holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University (1981) and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He has been a member of the CFA Society of Dallas / Ft. Worth since 1990 and served as the Director of Finance for the Dallas Inter/FC Youth Soccer Club from 2001-2006.
RICHARD ROSE, VICE PRESIDENT - ACQUISITIONS & DEVELOPMENT MID-ATLANTIC
Richard Rose, Vice President, joined the Lincoln Mid Atlantic team in October 1993 to assist in the acquisition and development of multi-family communities in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Richard has been responsible for the development of over 6,000 multi-family units in Texas, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts during his time with Lincoln. Prior to joining Lincoln, Richard was a partner with Caliber Companies, Inc., a privately held multi-family development and management company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. His responsibilities there included development, financing, construction and management of multi-family communities in Virginia and Texas.
Mr. Rose received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Emory University and a Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University.
JOHN J. NOONE, VICE PRESIDENT - NEW ENGLAND
John J. Noone joined Lincoln Property Company in 2000 as Vice President for the New England area. Mr. Noone's key role is the acquisition of existing and the development of new residential communities in the New England states. Prior to joining Lincoln, Mr. Noone was Senior Vice President for Sunrise Development Inc., where he successfully planned and developed over $250 million dollars of new residential projects throughout New England and New York.
Mr. Noone has acquired over 18 years of experience in urban planning, property management, finance and development. A graduate of Bentley College with a BS in Finance, Mr. Noone also serves as a trustee for a non-profit housing corporation, and plays an active role in the Real Estate Transportation and Development Committee for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Noone is a licensed real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
MARTIN PIAZZOLA, VICE PRESIDENT - DEVELOPMENT, NEW YORK
As Vice President, Partner for Lincoln Property Company, Mr. Piazzola is responsible for identifying, acquiring and developing properties in the New York City area for redevelopment and development of residential buildings.
Mr. Piazzola began his real estate career at a Fortune 50 Company where he developed financial planning models, cash flow projections and valuations for a portfolio of properties totaling 4.5 million square feet. Prior to joining Lincoln, Mr. Piazzola was Executive Vice President of The Clarett Group, and was responsible for identifying, underwriting, acquiring, and financing residential development projects, and Vice President of Real Estate for Nippon Life Insurance, where he was responsible for all property decisions involving capital investments, leasing, financing, sales, management and disposition of various office properties in NYC; Atlanta; Chicago and Washington DC.
Mr. Piazzola received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton, an MBA in Finance from New York University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
